Powracamy do związków muzyki i filmu, tym razem za sprawą twórczości Mai Deren. Ta reżyserka, choreografka, tancerka, poetka i teoretyczka mówiła o swoich dziełach „filmy kameralne” przez analogię do muzyki kameralnej. Nie tylko często szukała w obrazach muzyczności, ale sama też nagrywała – posłuchamy jej materiałów z Haiti. Oprócz tego muzyka, jaką dla niej skomponował Teiji Ito, utwory zainspirowane jej twórczością autorstwa Harps of Fuchsia Kalmia, Măo Morta, Judith Juillerat, Trembling Bells, Josa Smoldersa oraz słów kilka o Lava Festival, którego była bohaterką.

FIS to ciągle poszukujący nowych form i rozwiązań producent elektroniki a Thorne jest maoryskim antropologiem i muzykiem grającym na instrumentach tradycyjnych. Sprawdzimy, co ciekawego wyszło z połączenia dwóch żywiołów, sięgniemy też po ich nagrania solowe.
